"Black Walnut", A vigorous, spreading tree with narrow, glossy, dark-green, aromatic leaves. Yellow/green male and female catkins appear in late spring, followed by edible nuts in the autumn. Plant in any fertile soil with plenty of organic matter in sun. Also, use mycorrhizal fungi 'Rootgrow' in your planting hole. These are friendly fungi that attach themselves to roots for the purpose of accessing available nutrients for plants. Height: 20-25m, Spread: 15-20m. Fully hardy. AGM.
