Part of 'The New World Range' of Clematis, this variety produces large 7", deep lilac flowers with a paler central bar to each petal. The flowers fade to mid-blue and then to a lighter blue giving a nice contrast throught the ages; red anthers also fade to a deep mauve. Plant in any fertile, well-drained soil, keeping the roots cool. Height: 1.2-1.8m. Aspect: Any. Prune to 30-45cm above ground level during February to March. Fully hardy.
