Part of 'The New World Range' of Clematis, this variety produces very deep velvet purple flowers 6" in diameter, with occasional green tips; the flowers mature to a purple blue with red anthers. Plant in a ny fertile soil, keeping the roots cool. Height:1.2-1.8m. Aspect: East, South, West. Plant to 30-45cm above ground level during February and March. Fully hardy.
