"Golden Rain Tree", A relatively new introduction, this deciduous tree produces bright pink-red, fern-like, young leaves, before turning through a flaming orange-red and light green with contrasting red petioles, and then finally shades of yellow and orange in autumn. Bright yellow flowers are borne in August, followed by inflated seed pods in good summers. Plant in any well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter in sun. Also, use mycorrhizal fungi 'Rootgrow' in your planting hole. These are friendly fungi that attach themselves to roots for the purpose of accessing available nutrients for plants.
