This is a popular rose since its introduction in 1902. A profuse flowerer, though late in the season, it has single, deep carmine-pink flowers with a white centre and golden stamens. The flowers are grouped in large clusters and have a moderate musky scent, followed by good crops of hips. Plant in any well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter in sun. Also, use mycorrhizal fungi 'Rootgrow' in your planting hole. These are friendly fungi that attach themselves to roots for the purpose of accessing available nutrients for plants.
