A classic border perennial plant which goes well in any planting scheme, adding height and luminescence, without blocking any views. Tall stiff stems are produced from midsummer onwards, branching widely and each stem terminates with a cluster of tiny, purple flowers. Though it is a short lived perennial, it seeds readily each year. Requires a well-drained soil, in sun or partial shade. Height 150cm. Fully hardy. AGM.
